What do you enjoy most about your work?

I enjoy being able to interact with kids. It is exciting when I am able to observe growth in their knowledge, and they make progress.

What is a challenge or difficulty you face at work?

One of the difficulties I face at work is facing the constant pressure by parents to perform, and move their children to a certain level when it seems inconceivable. I also see that the children are put through immense pressure at an early age to perform because there future depends on what school they are able to attend from primary school.

How do you see that the Gospel is or could be transforming your workplace?

It would provide a freedom to the children to not be forced to feel like they are worth what they are able to do.

It’ll also offer to us workers here to realize that our careers are not the purpose of our lives, but to glorify God, because of what he has done for us.

What is one piece of advice you would give to those that will enter the workplace in the future?

To be mindful in what God is using your current situation for.

Your ultimate purpose is not to enjoy work but it’s to glorify God. Therefore do your best not for peoples’ approval but knowing you are working for God.

Do something you enjoy, because you will spend 30% of your life at work. Don’t settle for something that your parents or society is pressuring to do, but something that you are passionate about.
