Transforming the world through each sphere of society
The kids. I absolutely adore them. Getting to work with kids each day makes my heart burst with happiness and joy. Seeing them learn and grow with them is something that I treasure very much.
Discipline in waking up earlier, I had to change my whole schedule around. I was not used to waking up at 6 in the morning, nor was I used to the physical exertion and energy spending.
Some of the kids come from pre-Christian backgrounds. My classroom teacher is inspiring in the way she shares about Jesus every chance she gets, and the way that she exemplifies Christ’s love to the kids through her teaching.
I think we can shine the light of Christ by letting gratitude flow through everything we do. It’s because God first loved us that we can love others. Working in education is not always rainbows and butterflies but it’s in those moments when we can say yes our delight is in the Lord in the struggle and in the conflicts that speaks volumes.
God will truly make a way. Be hungry to learn and willing to serve in all circumstances. I find myself beginning to complain when things get harder and no doubt it will always be hard but the constant reminder that God knows me from the inside out and keeps loving me really helps me to direct my focus back on the God of promises, the God who makes a way and the God who knows my name. Be prepared for the struggle but be prepared for God to speak to you and walk with you through the storm.
